MTI is uniquely capable of leading and managing all aspects of the substantive program and logistics of training events and conferences.

MTI’s reputation as top notch conference managers stems from our experience in planning and organizing national training institutes on children’s mental health. The first of these conferences was held in 1986 with 300 attendees. The conference grew to over 2,000 attendees from nearly all states, tribes, and territories and has been called “the premier training event in children’s mental health” in the country.

Led by Beth Stroul (MTI President), MTI assembles an expert team with a proven track record in all conference planning and management tasks from the initial concept to implementation and to evaluation following conference programs. With strong attention to details and follow through, MTI has a strong reputation for establishing rapport and collaborative relationships with clients and vendors, managing multiple tasks with efficiency, meeting deadlines, and solving problems effectively at all stages of the process. The services we provide span the entire range of developing and coordinating all phases of program planning and management, including:

  • Leading teams in determining the themes and emphases of conference and training programs
  • Developing the structure and content of conferences and training programs
  • Developing and disseminating calls for proposals
  • Developing review criteria for proposals
  • Convening virtual work groups and meetings to review proposals and select sessions for inclusion in conference programs

  • Providing technical assistance to faculty and presenters in planning their sessions and designing effective learning strategies
  • Identifying, securing, and supporting plenary session speakers

  • Preparing session descriptions for user-friendly agendas and conference apps

In addition, MTI team members have an impressive track record in providing logistical services and supports for conference planning and management, including task such as site selection, contract negotiation with conference venues and vendors, budget development and monitoring, marketing, registration systems, on-site coordination, invoicing, and payment processing.
